Procedure FAQ
dOES MICROBLADING HURT?
This is a very common question. But it doesn’t, if needed we can apply lidocaine to numb the skin during the procedure. But most of the clients don’t even ask for it. Some of them takes nap during the microblading session. But it depends of each person, if they are on their menstrual cycle, or they frequently use harsh chemicals for their skincare. But usually, with me, everybody feels very relaxed.
microblading can cover scars and actual eyebrow tattoo?
It Depends! It depends on how dark and thick are the previous work and depends on the scars as well, some of them we can work with it. This is why is so important that we have a consultation, to go through all these points.
how long will last my brows?
It can last up to 2 years. But it can depend of your type of skin, or even your skincare routine. We recommend a Touch Up once a year. The appointment is divide by two sessions, first time and 4 weeks touch up which is important to fix it the color into the skin.
who should avoid microblading?
If you are under 18 years old, we will not perform microblading, powder brows or lip blush on you even with a consent form.
If you are pregnant or nursing.
If you have skin conditions on or near eyebrows. This includes rashes, eczema, etc. Minor scars are ok, as microblading can successfully cover most scars.
If you have had JUVÉDERM® or other fillers recently done in the area, you must wait at least 6 weeks and we may request a note from your doctor first. If you plan on getting fillers or JUVÉDERM® in the eyebrow area please get microblading done first.
If you are prone to post-inflammatory hypopigmentation or keloids.
Those with transmittable blood conditions like HIV or Hepatitis.
Those with hemophilia.
Those who are taking blood thinning medicines.
Those with active skin cancer in the eyebrow area.
Those who have healing disorders.
Those who have uncontrolled high blood pressure or had mitral valve disorder.
Those on any skin medication like ro-accutane and/or steroids which thin and make the skin more sensitive , AHA’s or any OTC creams and lotions for exfoliating, anti-aging, tone correcting and fading – these products may discolor your microbladed eyebrows. Please keep these away from the eyebrow area. Please wait 6 months after getting off any prescription medication for your skin before scheduling your appointment.
If you are going through chemotherapy, we will request a doctor’s note before we can work with you to perform any of our microblading procedures.

WHAT IS THE HEALING PROCESS LIKE AFTER MICROBLADING?
Depending on your age and body regeneration, the complete healing process may take 4 to 6 weeks.
There are several phases during the healing cycle. Right after your appointment your eyebrow color will look very natural. By the next day the pigment will appear much darker.
Do not worry!
They will not stay this dark permanently. During the following days your eyebrows may feel itchy and they will start peeling. It’s very important to not scratch or rub the area and let the dry skin/flakes fall off naturally.
Your eyebrows should be healed and the final look should be revealed 4-6 weeks after your original procedure. Some parts may look uneven and it’s normal to have some bald spots even. Some of the pigment may fall off during peeling if the cuts are not deep enough.
That is why we suggest coming in for your touch up appointment 6 to 8 weeks after to retouch your eyebrows and to solidify your beautiful brow.
If you experience any unexpected issues during the healing process please contact us for more instructions.
* Contact your physician immediately if you experience any of the following: fever, redness, swelling, tenderness, elevated body temperature, and or any green or yellow discharge that is foul in odor.
LIP BLUSH
HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR LIPS BEFORE THE APPOINMENT
One week before your session it is extremely important that your lips are hydrated on the day of the appointment.
Use a good lip balm 3 times a day, and exfoliate twice a week.
Stay well Hydrated! Drink a lot of water
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
Results will always be different and it can vary from person to person, after your initial session and then the 4 or 8 weeks touch up, your results should last up to 2 years. Yearly touch ups may be required depending on the person and the look that you desire.
The pigments that we use for permanent makeup (microblading, powder brows, and lip blush) are not the same as tattoo inks, and because of the technique it does not last as long as a tattoo.
WHAT TO EXPECT?
Moderate swelling, redness and bruising for the first days, sometime only last hours it depends of the person.
Set it a wipe on your lips with a ziplock bag filled with ice on top of the wipe, to help with soreness and swelling. Wait 15 min, give it the lip a break and then put it on again.
During the first days of healing process, there should be minimal scabbing or flaking of the skin. If there is scabbing or flaking, do not pick, and allow the scab or dry skin to come off on its own.
Expect the color to eventually lighten by up to 40% once the healing process is complete.
Color may appear uneven at different stages of healing. Super Normal. The color will get even again.
DOES LIP BLUSHING HURT?
It depends, can vary from person to person. you might feel a little uncomfortable close to the end of the last passes, but we apply a topic numb cream before this happen.
HOW LONG DOES THE PROCEDURE TAKE AND WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
The session is about 2 hours long, plus some time shaping and preparing. We will draw the shape of the lips and then after your approval and we decided together what is the best for you, we go ahead and start the process.
WILL I STILL HAVE TO WEAR LIPSTICK? AND CAN OTHER COLORS STILL LOOK THE SAME ON TOP?
Lip Blush is a type of tinting lips, with very tiny pixels. The color that we use fades away in order to give a natural and soft aspect. Is up to you, if you still want to wear lipstick occasionally, it will cover up the lip blush and if you dont want to wear lipstick anymore you are going to have a very soft tinting lip effect.
lip blushing is not for everyone. please read the contraindications carefully. if any of the following apply to you, this procedure is not recommended..

(even if none of the above apply, lip blushing cannot be guaranteed. This is a cosmetic tattooing procedure, the skin can be unpredictable, it is up to your skin to retain the pigment. Generally, results are successful, however, due to skin type, healing or bleeding during procedure, some results can be different)
